I just read my sister-in-laws blog and it made me think about my life. She mentioned how she wants to begin this year by making sure she thinks about every little thing she does and how it will impact others or if it's a selfish thing. Since I am a follower of Jesus Christ and have placed my faith and trust in him as my personal savior, I want to expand on her thoughts.
I started thinking about how it can be a good thing to be an impact on others, but if we aren't telling them about Christ and what he did for them are we actually impacting them. This past year has brought many blessing into my life, I have made many new friends and have grown closer to old friends. Does all this matter to Christ, have I actually shown my new and old friends who Christ is to me and what he has done for me.
I completely believe that God has full control over my life and nothing I do can change that. I may try to control my life, but in then end nothing I do for my self will get me anywhere with Christ.
Ok so I really didn't expand on the thought like I wanted I know this is a lot of thoughts running together. I have noticed more and more that I am more selfish than I want to be. I love Titus and I wouldn't trade him for anything, but sometimes I just want my me time and when I'm home all day with Justin working, many times that is hard. I know I should really spend my time with Titus because little ones grow up so fast and before I know it he will be in college, getting married & having kids of his own.
My resolution is to spend more time with my family and pray against the selfishness of myself. Also I am trying to read through the Bible in a year. Tried it last year, but didn't do so well. Maybe my readers will help me keep up on it so that I will accomplish my goal.
A journey through the life and events of no ordinary family.

All the Christmas Joy
Christmas is over & the New Year is upon us. We will be ringing in another year in only a few hours. Hard to believe how fast this year has gone. This will be Titus's first new years, but he not going to see the ball drop this year. I don't know if I'll even stay up that late :) We have so much to be thankful for this year. Christmas brought wonderful times with family that I have missed. Even though my brother & his wife were only with us in spirit. We missed them at the Christmas tree. It seemed like there was a void in our family Christmas.
Titus got many things for Christmas and loves playing with all his toys. I think I enjoyed unwrapping his gifts more than he did. We let the rest of the family unwrap some too :)

"Mommy's favorite gift. Titus would take the bow off as soon as we would put it on him. I am surprised I got this picture.

Great Grandpa wanted to make sure Titus was drinking his bottle. Great Grandpa loves Titus.

This was Titus's new wagon that he got from his grandparents. He loves pushing it and playing in it. I know he will enjoy riding in it when it gets warmer.

Christmas with daddy.

Merry Christmas
Wow is Christmas really upon us? It seems like just yesterday we were getting together with family and friends and waiting for 2009 to begin. So many things have happened to our family this year. We started out with adding a new Sister & nephew's to Justin's side of the family. Then we brought Titus home. We had our 6th anniversary in May. The summer flew buy and Titus continued to grow. In September our finalization of Titus happened and he became our offical son. We are now expecting a new member into the Palmer side. Little Ruthie will be here next month. Finally a girl in the family!! We are all extremly excited. As the Christmas season approached, my parents have remodled their kitchen & dining room which will make it much bigger for all of us to have family get togethers. My youngest sister got this past week.
Amazing how much can happen in a year. Life continues on and everyone continues to grow. Titus has had one Christmas and is still waiting for 2 more. He hasn't been to interested in opening presents. So Justin and I opened them for him this morning. Titus did at least pull things out from his stocking and played with his balls. He did get a Christmas present from Grandma yesterday. He got a little lion that he can walk behind and eventually ride on. He absolutely loves it!
Titus is now walking on his own very well. He will let go of our fingers and will then take off. He has enjoyed learning to walk and then fall on his bum.

So Many Things, So Little Time
Wow.. I realized it has been a while since I have been on here. We are still out of a computer and so when I do get on I usually only have time to check email and a couple other quick things.
We are getting ready for our first Christmas as a family. I am looking forward to a wonderful day and seeing Titus open his gifts and playing with the wrapping paper. He has been really good about not messing with our tree. A couple times Titus as sat down infront of the tree and it has poked him in the neck and he turns around to smack it.
We went to get 9 month pictures for Titus. He did really well. Enjoy :)

Titus has taken a couple steps on his own. He is wanting to walk, but doesn't quite have his balance yet.
On the day after Thanksgiving we took Titus with us to pick out our Christmas Tree. This is a family tradition with Justin's family. Our nephews also went with us. We had a good time even though it was cold.
